Hello everyone :D
I’ve been working a lot, mostly on things that cannot publish here ¬_¬…
Aaand, in the meantime, I’ve visited an old hospital! Actually, it’s the third and coolest one I’ve sneaked in and took photos.
This is Hospital e Maternidade São Marcos (Brazil). It started working during the 50’s and was closed in 1995. Now it’s called Condominio Cultural, where the rooms are used as working places for various artists. One of those artists, Cesar, a good friend of mine, invited for a visit at a Saturday night - just the perfect time for some ghost hunting!
Surgery room: many of the rooms are now ateliés, but this one remains almost intact. I’ve been informed it’ll soon be transformed into a sound studio :(. I’m glad I made that visit…but I need to go back there one last time, I absolutely loved it.
There was this creepy mannequin right at the entrance, almost in the dark. I was scared it was going to scream and have its head torn off by some invisible evil force (Silent Hill 3 feelings).
Medical stuff: an guest artist made sort of a intervention in one of the rooms. She filled it with abandoned objects and medical supplies found there. Lots and lots of glucose and some thiopental.
Also, there’s a register of all the patients treated there during 1956. They were mainly working class women going to give birth. You can see a medical degree from the 40’s and a decapitaded saint.
At the end, my self portrait inside the surgery room where someone left a mirror.
A night to be always remembered :)
Thank you, Cesar!
